Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. HyrDal keeps them to a minimum: we only use what the service needs to work.
This website
The HyrDal website (this site) has no analytics, advertising or tracking, and loads no third-party trackers. Our fonts are served from our own domain, and the contact form sends your message straight to our own server. It sets one cookie, only to remember your cookie choice:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
hyrdal_consent | Remembers whether you allowed optional cookies, so we don’t ask on every page | Strictly necessary | 6 months, then we ask again |
On your first visit we ask which cookies you allow. Analytics stay off unless you turn them on, and we don’t use any analytics today. If we ever add them, they will only run for people who said yes. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie button in the bottom-left corner, or here:
The web dashboard
When you use the dashboard, it sets two cookies, and nothing else:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__Host-hyrdal_session | Keeps you logged in. It can’t be read by scripts on the page. | Strictly necessary | Until you log out, or 90 days without use |
hyrdal_lang | Remembers the language you chose | Functional | 1 year, or until you change it |
Neither cookie tracks you or is shared with anyone. They don’t need consent: the dashboard can’t work without the first, and the second only stores a choice you made. If we ever add optional cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this page.
The live map and shift reports load map images from OpenFreeMap. It sets no cookies and only sees which map area is being shown.
The mobile app
The HyrDal app doesn’t use cookies. It keeps your login securely on your phone and stores your language choice and any check-ins made offline until they’re sent.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you won’t be able to log in to the dashboard.
